Lessons You Can Download

Multiplication with Arrays - This lesson was created for a second grade classroom. I entered it in the CCS "RAISE YOUR VOICE" Curriculum Contest 2008 and was a semi-finalist. Congratulations to Annette Rothman from Park Elementary in Holbrook who won in the K-3 category! Please note: The Mathica video was downloaded from Discovery Education Streaming. Users of this lesson will need to download the video directly from Discovery Streaming and create a link from the appropriate slide.

The Amazing Color Changing Box - Annette Rothman's (Holbrook) winning lesson for the VOICE competition held by CCS. This lesson is amazing! The kids will really believe you are magical when you "blend" (overlap) red and yellow together to create orange. Then, when you put two colors into the amazing box and pull out the color it makes, they are truely amazed! I know I was!

Real or Fantasy - Students explore the concepts of Real and Fantasy with synonyms, dinosaurs, a virtual fieldtrip to the Arizona Museum of Natural History, and a whole class writing activity. (Elementary) Please note: Danny and the Dinosaur movie and dinosaur audio clips are from Discovery Streaming.
